Pollution

from max pixel

I am learning about pollution in class. A pollutant is something that is bad for the ecosystem. I am learning about three pollutants. They are road salt, fertilizer, and acid rain. Acid rain canĀ  damage plants, animals, and statues. Fertilizer makes to many plants grow in the water. It can also make to much bacteria that takes up a lot of oxygen in the water so plants and animals in the water will suffocate and die. Road salt is bad for plants and animals to take into their body. I am doing an experiment to see which pollutant effects the height of rye grass the most. I think acid rain will effect the height of rye grass the most because if it can damage statues, it might damage rye grass more. You can help stop pollution by not using road salt and use organic salt free deicer, pickle brine, alfalfa meal, sugar beet juice and sand. If you use fertilizer, don’t put to much fertilizer on the plants. To prevent acid rain, reduce the amount of air pollution you release into the air. This is my first blog!

Hello! This is Annie and this is my first blog! I am in fifth grade and one of my hobbies is collecting rocks. Rocks are not boring to me. They are all different colors, shapes, and sizes. My favorite subject in fifth grade is now blogging! I am looking forwards to blogging because I am on the internet! A question about blogging I have is what should I blog about?
